Werner: The robot arm is inferior to the real arm. So what is too their credit making this inferior imitation to the superior real arm. It's all already being done perfectly and these guys think they're advancing making an inferior imitation.

Such an illusion ......
Yeah, neuroprosthetics, what a friggin' joke. WTF could they even be thinking? I mean, Werner's right - those things suck compared to real arms and legs. Oh, wait, that's right, Werner has all his arms and legs and doesn't need a prosthesis. And come to think of it, the last I checked my hearing aids sucked compared to the ears I had before they got blown out. Good thing he doesn't need any of those either.

The hits just keep coming...

Healyje, You are looking at the surface of what Werner said. You need to look deeper. God created your arms and legs. Of course a prosthetic is better then no arm or leg, but wouldn't it be even better to have never lost the arm or leg? The laws of God, Ie Karma are what causes a person to lose an arm or leg. Personal karma and world karma combined. Not everyone who loses an arm or leg does so because of their own karma. Sometimes they take on world karma. But Karma is the ultimate cause. We reap what we sow.

Cool it, Werner. It is a machine, not an arm. It might be a lot stronger, but it still needs batteries or a plug in.

Is Werner still going to bitch when science can regrow a real arm?

Werner will then ask when science can create life from nothing. Or at very least from a bunch of chemicals.

LOL..

yes.. I really am laughing. Sometimes this stuff strikes me as being funny.

Explain the laws of Karma so that we have something new to shred.

LOL.. Not really interested in being shredded. Besides, I doubt that I know the totality of the laws of karma so what I say would have holes in it. And then people would pick at those holes and we would just go round and round. Should we ever meet up and you are serious about wanting to hear what I have to say, well.. that would be a different story.

One thing that I will say is that the first law of Karma is that you reap what you sow. And that there are cycles to karma, just like there are cycles to life.

I haven't really read this thread so I don't really know much about what you believe. Do you accept that Karma exists?

Do you accept that Karma exists?

What reason is there to accept it?

A better question, as usual, is what evidence exists that supports it? O is it the same "evidence" that supports the existence of miracles?

Karma

For every action there's reaction.

Such basic simple stuff ......

oh werner - please knock it off with the hilarity. I broke a rib cracking up over something you said about a week ago. That thing about the robot arm just ruptured my spleen. You're killing me man!!!

Do unto others as you would have done unto you.

KARMA

You have to live with the face in the mirror. Sucks if you despise that guy. He will do nasty things to you.

If you have good reason to like that person you will be amazed what he does for you.

That guy in the mirror judges pretty well. The balance is always paid.

But still ...

The gross materialists are forced by the laws of karmic reactions to do just that .....

A very good friend of mine suffered serious nerve damage to one arm, with clear odds of never having significant function again..... unless a prosthetic provides it, like that one Bill Gates was wrestling with.

Now if you were to be a devotee of Karma, that is that past actions result in karmic reward or retribution, you would have to say that for some reason my good friend, about as fine a individual as you are likely to find, somehow "deserved" to lose his arm and thus never climb, ski, work at his profesion of fire fighter, pull line off a fly reel, or effectively help his two young sons learn any of that. If that is Karma, how come I have yet to be squashed like a toad and Henry Kissenger is left in peace to sip martinis?

it seems rather strange to bash technology just to make a point, and an irrelevant one at that

Yes .....

Especially if one missed the "point".

So we "fix' the coat and neglect the the "person" in the coat ......

Sorry John Gill. I opened a can of worms. I will try to keep it short.

Because you have more then one life time and karma comes in cycles.
Because some people have learned how to dodge karma and get others to pay their karmic debt. ( for a time )
Because karma isn't paid back in a black and white manner.

Yes.. there are ugly people who need to be removed from the planet. I pray every day that their time will be up soon.

We have dominion in this realm. That dominion makes room for us to choose to follow certain paths that are destructive, such as giving allegiance to people like Dick Cheney. When people give allegiance to someone like Dick Cheney, they give him a portion of what is called their spiritual light. As long as one has light, then one can remain in this realm. Dick Cheney no longer has any of his own light. He has stolen/ accepted it from those willing to give up their light to him. There is more to it, but that is all that I will explain right now. I'm hijacking the thread and I didn't really want to.

There are ways to remove these people. At some point they will go to what is called their second death. There is death of the body, and then their is death of the soul. Death of the soul is permanent. It is the second death.
