I have a lot of climbing books (guides, coffee table, biographies, etc.) to sell in my quest to clean out my closet and to make a little money. I hesitated to do this a while ago as Todd (and others) were doing the same and I wanted them to get a good shot at things first.

Some of what I have is rare (original (red) Red Rocks guide, etc.), and some not so rare. Most of them are in great condition.

Anyhow, what's the preferred method for selling this stuff. And by that I mean what will get me a fair price (not necessarily the highest price) and allow those interested to purchase all that they would like to? I guess I'm more interested in selling as much of it as possible, rather than sitting on it and holding out for the absolute best price.

Most of what I have is West Coast (but I do have other US areas) from the mid '80s on forward. If you're looking for something, I may have it.

I also have a lot of older VHS climbing movies (20-30 of these).

OK, Here’s the list. I will remove titles from the list as they are sold. You can either make offers here or directly to my email (louieanderson@live.com). I will see them more readily via email as I don’t spend my day here on the Taco. Many books have sold already and most of those have been through emails.

The Red Rocks book is the small red one, published by the AAC and written by Joanne Urioste in 1984. It is in perfect condition.

I'll probably just end up taking offers on the more collectible ones as the books seem to have a pretty broad price range. I guess offers can be made either here, or via email to louieanderson@live.com.

I'll try to look through them all in the next few days and put together some kind of list.

Good luck, Louie.....and yeah;...thanks for giving me a chance to unload first...as long as I was on a roll, so to speak. It's tough to sell one's "stuff"....especially climbing stuff, because it is connected to awesome memories of our history, our past, our passion, people, places, trips, goals, challenges, etc.......but when you get right down to the nitty-gritty....it's just stuff;.....you still have the memories experiences, and friends. Good luck, and good on ya to get over it all and unload.....make a list, and hopefully your pals at Supertopo can help.....

I have all of those.

Probably can't get to it until Friday (or the weekend), but I will put together a list and post it here once I go through everything and decide what to keep and what to get rid of.

If there are specific books anyone is looking for, maybe post them here and I'll give you the first shot at those titles if I have them.

Thanks everyone!

And thank you, Todd. Getting through the last few years has been a challenge, but I think I just may be on the other side of it all now...at least I'm hoping so.

Erik -

I think I have some SD Needles guides, but not sure what exactly until I look through everything completely. One I know I have is Paul Piana's Rushmore Needles guide.

For sure I have the 1985 Rocky Mountain Rock Climbs by John Harlin III. That one covers climbing areas in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota.

I also have both editions of Harlin's West Coast Rock Climbs and his East Coast Rock Climbs.

Also a couple of older Devils Tower Guides...
