There are a number of posts, both past and present, that deal with cancer in the climbing comunity on SuperTopo. I started a thread about Melanoma months ago. http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/1239624/Malignent-Melanoma-Survivors-who-climbThat has turned into more of a dialogue about my personal fight. Others have posted about their days / months dedicated to overcoming various types of cancer. Some have posted about their own fight or the plight of loved ones.

This thread is meant as a place where links to those and other resources can be gathered in one place. Please post links to other pages, posts, links, etc. that might be of use to active climbers with cancer, or who know someone in this battle.

Posts about your own journey with these diseases and pix would be great.
I am planning on bumping this back onto the front page for at least a few days to give it a chance to be noticed by others who care. Please do the same.

My cancer usually kills its "victims" within a year. New cuting edge treatment means that may not be the case for me and others in the future. IF I make it through the winter, I would like to team up with someone to do an awareness raising climb of El Cap, or some other big objective.
I hope to start some sort of cancer / climbing non-profit, perhaps called CLIMBERS RISE ABOVE CANCER. Then everyone could be a C.R.A.C. Climber!

Post Away!

Geeez, I have been researching past posts with "cancer" in them. There are over 3,000 cancer related posts on ST! A bit draining, but now an obsession. I have viewed 2,000............1,000 to go!

I will post more links.
