Howdy Supertopo!

Supertopo Secret Santa Gift Exchange 2010

I will be periodically bumping this thread, please don't hate me.

Last year I did a Secret Santa Gift Exchange at the last minute and had more than a few people interested and happy with the result so I am organizing it again this year! Here is the link to last years...

http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/1022277/Supertopo-Secret-Santa-Gift-Exchange-2009

This year I am more on the ball and am getting this organized quicker. Same rules as last year, but with some date changes...

Supertopo Secret Santa Gift Exchange 2010 Rules
You must be a registered forum user of Supertopo.com BEFORE 3:00PM 11/6/2010. Sorry to you lurkers who want to participate but this is to insure that we don't get any opportunists who want free stuff without reciprocation.
Having said that, if you do agree to participate you also acknowledge the fact that you may receive NOTHING back if your Secret Santa is a douchebag. We will of course mercilessly torment them on the forum but otherwise there is nothing to be done.
And having said that, DON'T BE A JERK! Do not sign up if you are not FULLY COMMITTED to FULL PARTICIPATION.
After the gift has been mailed I ask that the sender emails me verification of having sent the gift and the recipient emails me verification of receiving the gift.
The gift should cost around $20. Homemade gifts are encouraged, there is no price put on care, creativity and thoughtfulness. Also factor in for shipping, so your overall cost should be around $30 depending on what you bought and how expensive it is to ship.
Gifts MUST NOT BE NSFW!!! (NSFW= not safe for work) No porn, rubber appendages, lingerie, etc...! EVERYONE should plan on sending and receiving something clean and fun!
Everyone is encouraged to post of pics of their gift, sharing the joy with the rest of us!
For those of you asking who the hell I am and why should you trust me...my name is Nick Simon, I have been an active member of this forum for several years, though I do not post terribly too much. I am also confident that should anyone question my authenticity or trust-worthy-ness, there are at least a dozen well known and well respected members/climbers here who can verify my identity and character.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
EMAIL ME BY TUESDAY 11/30/2010 if you wish to participate
email me at supertoposanta (at) gmail (dot) com
give me your supertopo name, real name, shipping address and any other special considerations like gender/allergies/crazy phobias/etc... =)
Secret Santa Name Distribution emails will go out on Thursday (12/2/2010). In this email will be the name and address of who you need to send your gift to. Also, at the same time, someone else is getting your name and address so they can send you a gift!
You now have 2 weeks to purchase or finish creating your gifts
Have your package in the mail by Thursday (12/16/2010). This gives 9 days for shipping (hopefully enough to ensure timely delivery during the Holiday Rush)
I HIGHLY recommend USPS flat rate boxes for your gifts. The flat rate boxes are Priority Mail so they normally take 2-3 days for delivery. Also, the flat rate boxes come in various sizes with proportionate fixed shipping costs regardless of weight. Small box is ~$6, Medium Box is ~$10, I don't know about the large box.
You do NOT have to respond to this post to participate. Maybe you are Royal or Jim or Chris or etc... and wish to remain anonymous. Fine. However you MUST send an email to me supertoposanta (at) gmail (dot) com but otherwise participation is 100% anonymous unless you choose to divulge your identity to your recipient yourself.

Happy Holidaze!

Currently all people who have emailed me should have received a confirmation email. If you have not received a confirmation email yet then you are not signed up!

Great to see so much interest again this year.

For you Supertopo Gringes out there, you have plenty of time to sign up! Come on and have some fun with your fellow Supertopians and sign up so you can send someone a wacky gift! I hear rubber chickens and barbed wire are selling out fast!

I'm in this year!

How thoughtful Supertopo Santa is to ask us about our allergies. Otherwise, somebody might think about sending me a lobster roll or a shrimp cocktail - and that would be bad... very bad.
