we abandoned mini-nuclear reactors in our pro R&D because the climbers' residual glow made sleep difficult to come by on those dark bivies... even with sunglasses...

instead, recent research has focused on using enhanced "Casimir Effect," utilizing the zero point energy in the quantized fields...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casimir_effect

time to update the predictions...

Wow Tami: make Nostradamus proud.

I scored 55: I Never climbed at Smith Rock, but the Valley was English only when I was there; I purchased "Climb" after I learned not to drool (dry cleaning suits is expensive and ties never look the same). I gave myself three gold stars for getting a score less than my age.

The tip-over was chalk. I didn’t even know there was a battle with chalk until Yvon visited the Valley in the early 70s and a group of us went off to climb. I started up the route, dusted my hands, and heard murmuring on the ground below: Yvon was packing up to leave. I asked why. After a short but awkward silence someone told me that it was my use of chalk.

So, was the Lycra Age fun?

some of you might be wondering why we bypassed fusion energy, we didn't, but in the field trials we were using the deuterium-tritium fuel at a very high rate... with the climbers becoming contaminated... it turns out that one of the higher functioning test climbers read that the antidote to tritium contamination is drinking beer (you don't believe me... look here under "Tritium" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_beta_emitters);...

our research budget was being busted by the cost of supplying tritium fuels as well as the contamination clean up and the beer budget...

this idea also worked on the generation of magnetic fields that clamped to granite because of the high magnetite content... the protection didn't work well on sandstones and limestones...

"Hot Adventures!" I can offer guided climbs from the sea floor (20,000' deep) to the summit of Mauna Kea (+13,796' =43,800' more or less)since it IS in my backyard. It IS tallest mountain on Earth when measured from the sea floor, NOT the center of the Earth. That title goes to Chimborazo in Ecuador, due to the equatorial bulge of the not-quite-round Earth.

Did I miss something? Does Tami have a cookbook? Her pumpkin cake sounds YUMMY!

Geez Tami, that toon, its just so funny now. I scored, no shiite, 72. My copy of Climb has 6 plus pages of drool, and I gave myself bonus points for 2 sets of pages stuck together. And you or Peter could have been guilty of drooling on my copy.

Well as for the Lycra, still got all of mine, heck I even still put the stuff on. Kinda fun when yer 52 and single. Got lots of holes in all the right places for some pairs of tights. I just really worry allot about stretching the fabric out, the rubber is getting a little less resilient.

I always thought it was those Aussies who really clamored for the stuff at first. Personally it was Reach the Beach - women s custom bikini's. Roger, the proprietor seemed to us to have a pretty good gig going. We got first dibs on our tights and the girls got the little left over pieces that Roger could get that right fit for.

Tami's manipulations of the English language are notable.

Perhaps we AAC CAC people can see our way towards honoring her with some kind of "lifetime achievement" award in the climbing arts or something. Perhaps a plaque in bronze to commemorate some of these language manipulations.

... and everybody meeting her are telling us that she's always drinking single malt whiskey or beer. It's a wonder she's able to win the hand-stand competitions. Must be some lock-off-technique... Though I think there's wine on the table in front of Tami on the picture above... possibly both wine and beer... Where's the whiskey?
