With every gawd dammed futher mucking commercial. I purposely avoid products whose commercials I find obnoxious.

New England winning the Super Bowl also inspires deja vu, but the good kind.

So far my picks from last week look pretty good, as long as KC can get going offensively.

Next week should be entertaining.

NFC
Cowboys v. Packers. Cowpokes will fall back to earth, Cheeseheads will rejoice.

Falcons v. Seahawks. Falcons take advantage of seabird injuries and win with home field advantage.

AFC
Chiefs v. Steelers. I see a lot of field goals, Chiefs victorious in a squeaker.

Patriots v. Texans. In Foxboro. Ahahahahaha!

That was a good call. That jersey got jerked and that's that. Alex took it like a man, too, I thought.

Small consolation, but it's only a game and there are rules and blatant is blatant, no matter the consequences.

I thought the game was essentially boring as sh#t.

The Pats will roll over the Steelers if they meet.

Chiefs redzone d is a lot better than the Pats. Steelers win by three.

2016 the Pats' D was ranked just above the Chief's in Opponent Red Zone scoring percentage (TDs only):

19 New England 55.17%
20 Kansas City 55.56%

so I don't think that it will be much different. That and the fact that the Pats have the highest ranked scoring D...

what will be interesting in the kicking game will be the possibility of another "center-leap" field goal block by the Pats... two this year I believe... especially on the long attempts... scoop-n-score?

Pats D is allowing 1.6 TDs per game this year, and 2.2 pt/attempt for field goals (tied for 2nd with 5 other teams), KC was 2.6...

on 6 attempts KC would have expected 15.6 pts, (got 18) and at NE you'd expect 12.6

so we'll see... I think the Pats D has not been talked about a lot this year... they gave up a total of 250 pts in the regular season... Steelers D gave up 327 (the second best for the surviving playoff teams)

The home teams are favored in Vegas this week.

Falcons 5 1/2 point favorites over Green Bay.

Patriots only 6 over the Steelers.

I like the Patriots and the Packers.

Ok.... the best weekend for pro football.

I am happy its raining, I was able to turn down the offers to go climbing without guilt and get down to some good ball.

I predict .... Atlanta over Greenbay ... by 14!

Pittsburg over New England ... by 2 at the end.

I don't know what happened to why Badger was closed.

But on 120 it got so bad the plows couldn't keep up so they closed 120.

Yesterday was an awful lot of snow to be removed just in the Village area.

We were running out of places to put it.

these games have been good.

Notice the ten count that the stripe shirts are taking to
call the Touch Down? 'NeW, ( to me ) it used to be much more instant. Dramatic, force full tight jump and the double raised hands, now the is a long pause while the ref eyes down the player in the end zone. The resulting signal is still dramatic and since instant replay is coming.
& it's between plays it on the refs. time.( tv time too )

This season I've been very critical of the ~ All-over the place, lack of or over-control ~ all inconsistent ~ sometimes event changing ~ refereeing !
