Hot off the lot:
I guess Sita doesn't really care.
Well it was time. Too many road trips coming up. Too risky to leave stuff in the back of v.2

$2250 total.
It's really well built.
I'll be posting photos of the upgrades as I do them. I'm planning on adding a deep cycle battery, solar panel, lighting system, possibly a gas powered propane freezer (so it always has fish). a shelf system is a must. Will probably put a rack on top for a bike.

Looks like a sweet set up.
I am ready to retire and get a mobile home. Couch, hot tube, dish tv, two little yappy dogs.
Watch out, you'll have to get bigger and better every five years.

Looks like the deluxe upgrade.
If you're not already planning full outside lighting option, hit the automotive aisle at WalMart. You can get some small rectangular halogen lights that they make to run below bumper, but that make great back-porch lights. They're pretty low profile. Fish put some on the back of their Skamper and they work pretty dang good from what I recall.

Hey, don't you have a birthday coming up in a few days?

But I don't know man - that V.2 rig has such a cool "Grapes Of Wrath" leaving Oklahoma vibe to it. You really should pass it off to somebody from a third world country - maybe Idaho.

$2250, is that new, list price? I thought those things cost more than that. I actually need one myself although I don't know if I can swing even that price. lol
Let us know what it does to you gas mileage.

yeah, $2250 new. though it was "on sale". I think they took 7% off the list price. You can find them cheaper but you get what you pay for. Inside and out the Carson trailers are rock solid.
my tacoma got 22+mpg empty.
That dropped to about 17-18 mpg with the popper (450 lbs but a lot of wind resistance)
with the trailer full I get about 14mpg.
tacoma is a 6cyl auto. 2wd

couple nice upgrades today:
I had Weld_It help out. He stopped by with FlashyP and their were on their way to Waco. I tried to tell them.... it's Hu... but they were too busy snorting creatine.
anyway we pulled out the torch and added brackets for shelves.
We also added an outside spare tire mount with lock.
and then added a step into the camper on the tongue as well as a lock box for tables:
tomorrows project.
After that it'll be setting up the solar unit and wiring it for 12v.

12v system is installed. LED interior lights:
I just purchased a 12v water pump and a 21 gallon tank which I will install next week.
Hopefully my inverter will power my monitor and keep my laptop charged. Next install on the interior will be a fold out desk.
Shelves have been made secure.
Added a hanger for the sushi tent
And the Air springs are now installed so I can pull the full load:
We hit the road Thursday for an extended (until September?) road trip.

I now have a second 21 gallon water tank to add to the system. 42 gallons of pressurized water.
Does anyone have an "old" car stereo (12V) that has mini-jack input (for iPod) they'd like to donate or part with at a fair price? speakers are needed as well. Solar powered music is the next upgrade.

Easy enough install. an extra joint half way down my forearm would have helped. Otherwise easy. Just hot and sweaty in tucson when I did it.
