Mr. E already posted a pic of our garage workshop where all the woodworking and glass happens.

He built me a separate work area for doing enamel-work in the house. Mini- enameling kiln is on a custom shelf not in the photo.

hey there say all... wow, if i would have been able to get that old farm house, why i would have had a mini barn, a neat little shed, kind of like norwegian's, and ....taadaaa.... A WORKSHOP....WHICH would have been across the yard in the garage... (wow, say, i would have had a garage too!)

:)

and some chickens and two goats and.. and... hmmm...

got off track for a sec...

here is MY workshop, where i write the jake smith ranch series...

is just example (it is: jake hugs texas)...
and, my "kid's seizure awareness" book, too, is shown for you all...

*actaully, i had patty-ann-marie in one pic, too, but she looks
skinny, 'cause she has not been eating, and i feel sad about it:
she keeps trying to eat the cat food, so she must not be sick...
but she will hardly eat :(

Well I have a couple of places I work in The design aspect of my life keeps me in this space now and then. I can also watch as the Taco Turns from here. As for leisure work well I have a number of interest and this spring and summer am in the process of renovating the garage a little as I enjoy tinkering with Bikes and possibly set up a surfboard shaping bay so that me and my g friends younger son can share some project time together. Will revisit this topic as progress on the garage continues :)

Pretty sweet, Cragman.

One of the main things I do is finish work on custom houses. I have designed my "shop" to break down and fit in my truck for transport.

I can do most anything on-site in a two car garage.

All the customizations are mine.

Working in the shop: The ranger told me I needed a permit to paint. (No Joke)

Santa Cruz Harbor.

I have not finished either of these pieces. The paintings take several months to complete. I recently updated my web site if you would like a look. Click on the Nature, Portrait, Landscape and Animal Galleries. Cheers, Jude

Photo of 3 wall barn and interior of shop... I can't say much gets accomplished in my shops but I have had fun trying. I have always wanted to replace metal bldg with a nice shop to go along with barn but it might not ever get done...

First bike I ever built. Old school generator shovel head with a magneto and kick only jockey shift four speed. Stretched the back bone and downtubes, made the gas tank with an english wheel and planishing hammer, made the pipes, the handle bars, seat, twisted sissy bar and shifter, painted and pinstriped all in my garage. It ended up in Easy Rider magazine which was cool but my wife wasn't too happy about the naked chick posing on it. That was all before I started climbing. Now I'd trade it for a Westfalia in good condition.

Trip - Yup that's Burton. He's still truckin, but definately showing signs of a long life well-lived. Just gave him his spring "black lion" cut. He loves that.

Robb -

I made that just for the planer. That DeWalt has such a powerful fan that it doesn't need vacuum. I used to tape dust bags to the hose, but with the volume of chips from dimensioning, that is expensive and a PITA. That thing works great and everyone with that planer should make one. The concept just came to me one day.

100% effective. I have several people who lust after my wood chips, esp. cedar.

I'd like to make some spring steel clamps to replace the 1 1/2 inch c-clamps that hold the lid on. It takes too long to reset them. Lots of pressure there.

The whole thing rolls around real nice. I swear I'm a half inch shorter from moving that thing around.

Jaybro, I think you have taken the most pics of my shop. I'll take a few more that show the work areas.
Edge, Cragman and Willie, I'm envious how organized you guys are. My shop is actually organized in it's own way but there was a time twenty years ago when I had big, big plans. Real life, kids, jobs. . . .all got in the way. Still it works. It would be fun to talk shop with you guys sometime. Probably won't happen since we are hundreds of miles away but it would be fun.
