well, alaska got it's toe in the water on this one!
i covered about a square meter of the wall at a wee weather station alongside the yukon with
a full size copy of this ^^^ map and captivated pilots like it was some kind of flypaper

A Madill 009-SP yarder on Clearwater Ridge, a few miles from Mt. St. Helens. Second shot was taken 2 days after the blast, the shovel next to the yarder was salvaged and scrapped.
Twisted and torn from the lateral blast which was 500 times the power of the bomb on Hiroshima. One of the earliest clear memories I have as a kid was when the mountain blew and rattled our windows hundreds of miles away and dropped ash all over our town.
