Hmmmm, je suspect a case of Photoshopping - gargouilles are native to Europe while
hummingbirds are only native to the Americas. But it is a cute 'shot'. Peut-être that
gargouille is in Québec? :-)

I don't know where that one is, but there are many, many gargoyles and "grotesques" to be found here in the States, Reilly.

One rule of thumb for us amateur building inspectors is to remember that if it wast not made to actually funnel water from a building, it is not a gargoyle.

The very worn state of that gargouille tells me it is not on this side of the pond plus I have a
hard time believing any good hummingbird mum would build her nest in plain view. I've
never seen one that wasn't at least moderately well concealed. But it is still cute. ;-)

Did you post that pic to insult my memory? I've endured many hours in Smith Hall!* I guess
I was so delirious to get back outside I only had eyes for, well, let's say living entities?

*Being the scene of many a crime I committed for one of my majors!
