This is "Amina".
She earns 1.5 ~ 6 taka (0.085 USD) each day working as a 'firewood bearer'. She goes to and fro along the banks of the Kaptai Lake (Bangladesh) over a distance stretching one and a half mile, countless times, everyday. Both her father and mother are day laborers as well. Their broken shed reeks of alien fumes, aboriginal organisms and bactericidal that are considered 'lethal' for the city people.
A look that screams of hardship, of not giving up, of a muted protest against gender discrimination in a land where being a female equates one as a second class citizen.

Timmc, what the heck took you to Libya? I saw a bunch of pictures that one of our aeromagnetic crew took there about 10 years ago. Definitely looked like one of the best Roman ruins to see.

Ydpl8s: I worked 4 months in central Libya in 2009 working on mountain ops for seismic. Some mighty big jebels!

Those are great Cosmic. Someone I work with was actually born and raised in Trona. Here is another good one.

Thanks Kath. With everything gray and rainy and cold here now, it was nice to pull up that reminder of last summer and post it.

This is a really wonderful thread.
