Yo Ron - is this the start to Up to Nuthin?

We followed a nice little 5.7 corner just left of that 5.9 on the Top Rope wall.

Then we tied into a 5.5 chimney that takes you to the top of TR wall and what I think is the second pitch of your route.

Does this sound correct?

Well, it was close.. We started on the opposite side of yur corner - to the left side of that bottom wall, then trend right up an obvious offwidth flaring chimney- which i believe was far right of yur second pitch..err at l3east i THINK! ill consult the guide and a pic or two if i can find them..

That makes sense you would do that. While the corner we climbed was very nice - it was short (like 25ft)and ended in a weird place forcing us to move the belay down a bit to access the chimney without heinous rope drag.

BTW- What kinda gear you guys use in that chimney?! Without a #5 you are soloing that thing.

uhhhh we didnt have anyhthing bigger that a #11 hex and a number three rigid freind. That flare goes up a flat slab- above the tr wall. It may have been a bit run out but i think i put a pin in some 40 feet up it.--Hidden in the back of the flare.

Hers the topo-- you started on the opposite side of that large block- then went right on the upper pitch where we went to the left. At least thats what i get from looking at your picture. I believe i can see the 5.8 OW showing up and RIGHT of your line but its a hard angle to see it..

far left of the perfect lie back-200 feet or more-the crux of the crack is an obvious striking crack up a face that angles up and left.. Used to have some fixed pins in it

Ron, thanks. Any pictures? Ref shows it 5.10c three stars, equivalent to One of These Days, I think.

It doesn't look equivalent to One of These Days, but who knows.

its no OOTD, but it is another good woodfords crack- ya scramble up some blocks and a small corner into the crack which at the end goes straight vert aftr the left leaning part its on the orange colored wall- nard to miss..
