Certainly in my top ten. I sure wish he had written more.
One of my favorite shots of Chuck from Ascent. I don't know who took it. Tom Frost took this one in 1961 on the FA of the Salathé Wall.

Sheridan was way taller than Chuck. This picture of Sheridan and Norman Clyde, taken in Aug. of '69 in Tuolumne, with Sheridan down-slope, away from where I took this picture, still shows Sheridan taller than Norman. From my encounters with both of them over the years, I'd say maybe that Chuck was 1-2" taller than Norman.
