50th high school class reunion weekend in Boise started today. Our small-town Idaho graduating class of 53, was pretty tight & mostly still is, minus the 8 or so that have died.

Many of us stay in contact on FB, or visit each other. We used to do multi-day whitewater raft trips together, & reunions combined dinners & drinking, with planned outdoor fun.

Not this year. An afternoon urban "meet & greet" that about 20 classmates showed up for, & a dinner tomorrow-night for those & a few more, without any planned activities. (I suspect the male that took over reunion planning this year, since the females that had worked hard on making it fun previous years, "burned-out", is mostly to blame for boring, since he is boring.)

I didn't drink during the meet & greet, but I have to make up for lost time tonight.

Schist! My old classmates, mostly got old & boring.

Scluuurrp-sigh.

(Kids! Don't ever get old & boring!)

An excellent pint in a proper pub - The Victoria, at times graced by Charlie Chaplin and Sir Winston, himself, perhaps where he belabored his fond description of the Royal Navy per Jim's quaint vid.

Nice, Susan! Say hello to Fort Nelson, BC, in 300 miles (my birthplace), or Mile 295, where I lived until I was 7 years old. :-)

Dunno if you've driven the Alaska Hwy before, but the route from Fort Nelson to Liard is very beautiful, as you drive through the Northern Rockies! Looks like you have good weather. Have fun!

Ha, Susan....

I was going to point out on Facebook that the road is known to us Hosers as The Alaska Highway, not the Can Am thing you mentioned....
