It's only Thursday, but....

Me and Neil and Maria are at the Gold Coin in Mariposa. Long detour via Oakhurst with 140 closed. Beautiful fall weather! And, like, cold draught, eh?

Neil is a Brit. He is confused about NFL football, and wonders how one man can have two sacks. :-/

It's very funny after a couple beers!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET JEEEEEEEEEEEESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been on the SAME budget planning call since 8am pacific time. Stick a nut tool in my eye and scramble whatever is left steaming back there.

The dude driving the webex is typing 5 words per minute. We have a team held hostage telling him how to spell stuff, while another person is reading off columns of numbers for him to type. Now someone is explaining to him how to rename a worksheet tab in Excel.

I'm not a drinker, but frick if I don't start right now.

Edit: Hahaha, just posting this made me feel better, now I can laugh about it.

Edit2: Now I'm laughing a little hysterically and I didn't even start drinking yet. I did pour from a several month old bottle of two-buck chuck hiding in the fridge, and I'm sipping it to preserve my right to post on this thread. (pauses for sip) Bitter head-shaking wince-grimace coughing nasty! But it must be done.

Edit3: It doesn't matter 'cuz I'm climbing in the desert tomorrow!

Edit 4: Now we have a group sounding out "interoperability" syllable by syllable

Edit 5: Just poured my second cup, this one all the way full. I've never got drunk by myself, but today might be the day!

I had to deliver a keg and two huge bottles of Jim Beam for a fundraiser tomorrow.
Considering there is also about 200 bottles of wine already at the location, I think fund raising will be successful.
Me, simple. Just a beer tonight. Gotta save room for tomorrow.

I'm new to this... I'll try following the rules:

1. Your current consumption:
1.5 cups of two buck chuck

2. At least one inflammatory comment **:
Squirrel meat eaters shouldn't be allowed to drive webex sessions

3. Why you are drunk and typing on McTopo instead of doing something worthwhile, like driving to the crag.:
Held hostage on the budget planning calls for almost as long as the americans in lebanon in the 80s

Bwah ha ha ha!! Good rants tonight.

Only two beers so far, but finally done putting gear away for the season. Had to glue my Fish ledge back together, the bed has ripped where Russ sewed the daisy on the outside underside. I guess my massive bags of beer were too much.

Tomorrow is a very special night for Anita arrives!!

She thinks she'll be ok to drive but we'll keep you apprised, Susan. See you on the bridge, Blue Moons in hand.

Glad to see all are having fun.

No climbing at COR for the weekend due to winds that harsh my mellow.

Oct 11
chance of moderate rain showers

Winds 46 mph (56 mph)

Oct 12

Winds 49 mph

A little red wine and some clean-up of a beetle-chewed elm looks like weekend fun for me.

1. Trader Joes has $10 Scotch. Before that I had 2 beers at Post No Bills beer pub in Seaside. It's not Friday but I'm not a suit.
I'm going to sneak in a mini trip report in here for my friends. This will be the worst TR ever as there are nearly no pictures. It does, however, involve hookups and mystics and Aussie dreadlocks swimming at the bridge and in the Vernal pool. It is possible that some 5th class climbing occurred. Swan Slabs, I think. Now, I've got ahead of myself. Back to consumption; The two beers that I mentioned earlier were the Abita Triple Haze and the Stone Ruination. The Triple Haze is very fruity. I had tasted it but tonight the timing was right. I had just finished a good session at the Sanctuary Rock Gym with 10 runs on the auto belay. I was still hot and a refreshing beer was just the trick. I'm not hard to please when it comes to beer and the Stone Ruination did a nice job satisfying my taste for hops.

2. F*#k Honnold. I went out of my way to bring a hot Australian dreadlocked mystic babe to the base of El Cap this week and who do we run in to? None other than the best climber in the world and his 59 minions making the easiest wall trail even easier. I could barely pull it clean in my flip-flops and I'm old-as. They were all nice and sh#t and now she wants to "climb El Capitan". Whatever points that I earned at Donner, Puppy Dome and Swan Slabs were totally blown. Even the damn bears were all cute and docile with cubs eating apples. We even got campsites and let the dog chill on puppy ledge. We poached camping at Travertine ( my bad) and hot tubbed in the moonlight with a respectable vet. Australia-Dread-Adventure-Babe swims in Vernal Falls pool like it's an everyday thing. 10 days in the Gypsy trailer and all I get is " Hey, cool trailer" everyday and great conversations with cool people. Everything is so nice that It's practically Canadian. I even had to do stupid human tricks for a Sherriff in a Samurai and a CHiPs in Sierraville. They were all funnny and nice and let me go on my way. Charmed, I'm sure. If I believed in a god then I'd think that he favored me. Is it still an adventure if all the unexpected stuff is really good and happy-making?

3. I'm Nobody on the Road to Nowhere. Between 4:15 and 9:14 tonight I played soccer at my 5 year old kid's school, played in the ocean with him and then we watched the surfers rip Lover's Point (the best part;). I dropped him at his mom's and got about 300' feet of gym climbing in before the beers that led me here.
