Hey Spider! Away on a climbing trip. I did share a bottle of white with my 3 partners last night, but we stopped at that because we were going to get up early for Tenaya Peak today. A great time was had today climbing and we had 2 bottles among 3 of us tonight! Really smoky here, our eyes are burning tonight.

Hope to see you down there to climb once all my August visitors have gone, Phyl

in the last 36 hours,
i've worked 26.

i'm turning in shop drawings
for a parking garage forming system
3 days early.

i'm climbing in the morning with a good friend.

i've only had drinks twice in the past two months.
i'm getting a stronghold on my relation with booze.

i'm gonna pour me a 1/2 shot
of bourbon and sit in my outdoor rocker
and listen to the wind that i've earned.

i was laying in a warm bath,
listening to the doors,
"sunday trucker christian mother f*#ker!"

and due to a mild state of exhaustion,
i imagined that i was laying in the same
water in which the old lizard king took his final bath.

and too, spiritually we are similar to parking garages,
in that both channel stress to a concrete location,
a structural centroid, if you will.

this stress needs to find an escape,
so we introduce isolation joints
in the load path
to unbind the garage.

good night.

i am gonna enjoy the fruits of my labre.

a gillespie brn. ale, from sanity, ca., bottle. big bottle.

a boont or "boont" amber ale from anderson valley, draft.

a sudwerk marzen amber lager.

a beck's bottle from bremen. a second bottle of beck's.

a blue moon snowpatch grizzly 22 oz. draft. (Courtesy of Hutch from Snelling.)

and untold amounts of bud natural ice.

i'm building castles in the air,
fashioning ski runs from my chair.

you people, i'm seein' you twice,
it's not so nice,
but it's the natural ice.

i'm not climbing this weekend & i could care less.

CAN WE GET A HOORAY FOR TENAYA PEAK?

WHAT HAPPENED?

Really awful Verdicchio.

But to get something else, I'd need to leave the house and I so don't want to leave the house.

Wish I was having some of the white Phyl and I had last weekend, and for that matter, that I was back in the meadows this weekend instead of doing homework for school next weekend. <sigh>

At the SLC Outdoor Retailer show I enjoyed a few minutes with Jeff Lowe & Connier Self. They were in town for a screening of a final cut of Jeff's film project: Metanoia!

I missed the screening and I have to work, and it so good to see those folks!

Happy Hour at the crag. Who loves 90 foot wall? Who loves it on a Friday after work with a good buddy, a 12 of Sierra Cans, a flask of bullit rye, some PDQ deli sandwiches, the best dog, bivy gear andthe biggest moon in history? Me. I do. Gnite from the crag.

I just emailed Jebus and asked if I could borrow his rape whistle.

Brava pussy beers for me, and Muskoka Double IPA for the REAL beer drinker.
