Murcy! Re your somewhat-valid question, which I suspect is about Idontno?

It doesn't matter what year it is in the Northern Rockies, since this region is "Next-Year" country.

Yep! Next-Year will almost always be better!

I'll drink to that positive concept!

Fritz, it looks like you have moved into whats left of Dugout Dick's old 'home'.
Nice to know it will be looked after. Did I mention I'm onto a stellar new (to me) Belgian -
'Witches Brew'? I do believe I am under its spell.

BTW, I posted Dugout's obit on the Taco. Dude was A-1.

Started to watch an episode of Downton Abbey and discovered we were,
brace yourself, out of port! Quelle horreur! Had to make do with
some madeira. Albeit a very good one it was down to the dregs and there
wasn't a spot of cheesecloth in the house either! Luckily I still have
the unshakable conviction that I can pour under the most trying of circumstances.

Bloody close, that.

Dear John,

Our love is on the horns of a dilemma. It's a subtropical African species and he's dreamy. Adios, muchacho.

Trying, ok, actually dinking a new Belgian tonite - Kasteel. So far, quite decent! And, yes,
I am still upright, in a physical sense, of course.

Well, I might not have had internet access back in the jungles of Belize, but it *was* Friday and we *did* have beer, rum and tequila!

I was adopted by a Mayan family who lives next to the resurgence of Blue Creek, and for a while I thought I'd never make it back home!

Silvano and I hard at work

Cheers from the civilized world of Cancun! Plenty of great caving photos forthcoming....

Crystal Cave section of the Caves Branch System

P.S. Man, this caving really makes ya thirsty, eh?

Some would say I have a one track mind.

Dang. I'm back in the Great White North, and there is plenty of snow. Blech. Sure wish I was still in Belize....

Enjoying a cheap but effective Rosemount Estate Shiraz from Oz. Five or six bucks a bottle in Kentucky.

Really awesome caving trip! Went back to caves I hadn't visited since our initial exploration in 79-80. Full on jungle bashing to get there, and then tons of float tubing.

Classic "eggbox karst" hills above the Caves Branch polje:

St. Herman's Cave, near Caves Branch:

I was adopted by a Mayan family at Blue Creek in southern Belize - Melisa, Mamasita and Silvano. Here they are checking out my pics from 34 years before:

Looking in the Blue Creek Cave main downstream entrance:

Same cave entrance, but looking out:

Big sparkly rimstone in the fossil part of the cave:

Man, I shoulda stayed. It was so nice and WARM down there!!!

1. Your current consumption
5 vodka greyhounds

2. At least one inflammatory comment **
yer all dumber than a bag of hammers.

3. Why you are drunk and typing on McTopo instead of doing something worthwhile, like driving to the crag.
I'm a better drinker than climber, duh!

Hard apple cider with sake yeast and organic rice syrup.

Where's my kale????

I do have a fresh blackberry pie in the oven and a pork hamburger on the gas grill out back by the pool. Fresh baked bun too.

I've had 2 glasses of strawberry kefir. Thought I'd make my first drinking post before I abandoned supertopo for the evening! What kind of lame-ass losers drink and post on the internet anyways?
