After Dr. F posted all those iPhone pictures of his erect penis, I thought I should separate myself from the thread. I'll delete this shortly as not to incriminate the good Dr.

A wise move.

^^ Ew. Here on the Friday night post, we do KNOTT post penises. Please.

[However titties are always welcome, preferably B's or smaller. ]

This evening's selection is actually a Canadian wine {shudder!} yet I have to admit it's pretty damn good. It's a 2010 Mission Hill Estate Chard, lightly oaked and with a superb buttery finish. I overchilled it a bit on the snow outside, it needs to warm up a bit more. However I can't resist sipping...

Since the wine is from the Okanogan Valley in B.C., I think we should all hoist our glasses tonight to Big Mike and his recovery.

Cheers!

Edit - WOW! Really buttery finish. God bless malolactic fermentation, definitely one of His better inventions.

Eat yer heart out, Pete! We're getting pumped for Le Cafe Massilia's
monthly (or so) wine dinner. Tonight's dinner is food and wine d'Alsace,
where the wife went to university. Woo Hoo, choucroute! Phillipe always
brings it hard with the wine, too. He is from Massilia but that won't
stop him tonight. What, haven't heard of Massilia? It is the Roman name
of Marseille, his hometown.

I caught the d'Alsace, and wondered, "what the heck you California boys doin' drinkin' that apple-layshun con-trol-lay stuff?"

I am knott a big fan of the French style blends, which you Californians cunningly call a meritage. Without looking it up, do you know the derivation of the word?

Enjoy your meal, it sounds superb. Yes, definitely jealous.

Well, I can assure you Phillipe will jamais trot out no Californicated vin
for his wine din-din - strictly floggin' his homies' products.

I doff mon chapeau to yer erudition- did not know nuthin' bout 'meritage'.
But now I do! Merci!

tonight's vin:
Cote de Nuits Villages – Domaine Gille, 2009 (Burgundy)
Kientzheim-Kayserberg Reisling 2007
Kuehn Pinot Gris 2009

Qu'est-ce que tu le f*ck? Oooh-la-la voice la merde. Encore un fois!

Yeah, Kirk - WTF was with Russ last week deleting all his posts? Geeeez. Russ, you owe us an explanation, and clearly - CLEARLY - you owe us some beers.

However we await the arrival of the erstwhile Jay R. who nearly died in Kentucky last Friday.

I'll post an apology for Fritz. He and Heidi are currently being squired around the North Patagonia Ice Cap area of Chile by my wife Angela. He can't post but he wants to assure everyone that he IS drinking.

Pete, you don't know Fritz like we do up here in his home 20. I concur with The Donini. I'm thinkin' I'm keepin' up, over here...maybe.

Cade & I had "several" Houseys, The tall ones. We threw many horseshoes. He kicked my butt thoroughly, again. Then I went home. Now there's another one before me.
Imagine that.Here's to ya.
