Reilly: Must be the waterfall you mention. We walked accross Icicle Cr. on the bridge for the road up Mountaineer Creek. Pleasant two lead climb with the start a "wee-bit" steep for my comfort zone in 1974-75.
I never have learned the name of the climb? It would be an avalanche "death-route" in the wrong conditions.
Here's a photo from somewhere near the bridge. We climbed the falls in the middle.

Wow, great photos, Fritz! Pretty hardcore stuff back in the day, eh?
Travis - we pushed the dig-crawl that had the bats flying out of it, but it splits up into too many too-tight passages, unfortunately. We will have to find a different way into and under the empty ridge to the south here.

Nothing in my system. I choose an extra slice of crappy pizza over a beer this evening. Sometimes I make the wrong choice.

Things got ugly this afternoon!
It cooled way down and the wind picked up!
Clouds quickly covered the sun and the weather was going to get ugly.
We retreated to our bivy spot, and opened some wine (Cline Ancient Vines Zinfandel) to raise our spirits.
Things were looking better by sunset in Kehei, Maui.
Sluuuup!
Flew out of Boise yesterday at 24 F and it was snowing hard.
I see it is going to be close to 0 F in Choss Creek tonight.
That's too fuking bad.
Things are looking up. We are planning on a climb of the local volcano!
Sluuuup!

I hate it when Momma works late on Friday! I can't in good conscience
crack one yet. I've an Orval, a Trappist 10, and some others singing to
me from the reefer! Is this like waterboarding, only worse? :-(
Marry a woman that doesn't drink, doesn't mind if you do, and the boozy world is your oyster.

Yeah, Fritz, them's the ones! I dragged some hottie up the left one about '74. She didn't hardly even know from belaying so it was a solo for all intents and purposes. OK, so maybe I had other intents, gotta problem with that?
Went to a wine tasting dinner at the local Frog bistro tonight. Had a fine Vouvray and a real nice Malbec to go with the killer cassoulet du porc.

Did you make it back from wherever the heck you were on Tuesday night? And how many did you have back then?
I made it back from Tel Aviv after 15 hours in a flying tube, which included a 2 hour ground hold. Got to see snow/ice in and around the city while Jerusalem got 8 inches of snow. The folks who I do business with, most had never seen snow. That was an interesting observation.
Yeah, I made up for my lack of drinking on Friday night with extra portions on Tuesday night (and Wednesday night at the ben-guerion airport lounge).

Sure, snow in Israel. Meanwhile, here in Canada aka The Great White North, it's in the low 50's F. What happened to winter?

Well it's practically the tropics here in the Great White North today - was in the low 50's, probably a new record high for this date.
Global warming? Bring it on!

Good Friday evening, everyone!
This evening's selection begins with a [can you believe it?!] something from Niagara, Ontario. Now generally speaking, Niagara is a perfect example of the maxim, "just because you can make wine, doesn't mean you should make wine." But there are actually a few varietals that do well in our cold weather climate.
Ontario does make the best ice wines in the world, and if you are a fan [I'm knott] you should try one made from our Cab Franc. It's quite pink.
But one varietal that doesn't do too badly here is Gewurztraminer. And this one was on sale, and it ain't half bad. So there.
Hmmm ... did I spell that right? Gotta check dictionary dot com.
Well, I'll be buggered. There ya go. I think I deserve another sip for that.
I say, are there any Thelonius Fans in the audience tonight? {wink}

I shouldn't drink because I am recovering from injury.
I probably could have a small drink, but a small drink is like small titties, just a tease ;)

Small tittes, if well formed and perky, are just fine.....now the butt, that's where the sculpture becomes important.
edit: Will anyone here drink to that?
