I have not been there in some time. I am so much older now- 63, almost, so that was written when I was in my 20s... :-) I did continue to climb, in places like Little Cottonwood Canyon, Lumpy Ridge, Horsetooth, the Tetons and other, but I am now a devoted cyclist these days. Not much climbing in Iowa, but certainly lots of biking (RAGBRAI). This brought back memories for me as well- I was reading up on some Alex Honold stuff and came to this site, and took a look around, and there it was. Blast from the past!

Responded back to your email address. :-)

Found today that the used copy of Arlene Blum's "Annapurna: A Woman's Place" I just bought was actually signed by her. Cool!

Steve, Thanks for posting the Devil's Lake postcard. I have a copy of that one too. The climber in the top picture is Bill Russell and the route is Briton's Crack F6. One of if not the classic Lake climbs.

You can answer Andy's question then or perhaps you already have. Any mention of DLFA status on that brave leader. LOL

The other side of the post card is just a normal kind of thing with one half for the address and stamp and the other for correspondence. I'm pretty sure that my brother sent it to me at General Delivery, 95389 back in the day.

Swilliam is doing well. We catch up and visit a number of times each year.

Thanks for identifying the route (Brinton's Crack) and for checking the back side. Would be interested in the date of postage if it is readable.

Andy, Thanks for correcting my spelling. My copy of that card is around here somewhere and if and when I find it I might scan it or at least type in the caption.
