Well, hopefully it'll be sunny and you can climb at Rochers de Freyr just outside of Dinant. If nothing else, Dinant is a cool hang (birthplace of the saxophone, etc).

Freyr is pretty fun. Slippery on the classics!

We climbed there in early October this year.

Les cinq ânes last pitch belay for the traversee Bourgeois (done by Jean Bourgeois in 1958):

Speaking of which:

If you run into Jean, tell him much thanks from Brian in SLC! Great day of climbing and then he buys me a beer across the street:

We also climbed at Marche Les Dames which is south facing but the starts of the routes are in the trees, which could be chilly in the winter, but, the climbing is juggy and fun. Watch out for the trains! Also at Dave, which was trickier climbing but fun, and, climbable in the rain.

Have a great trip!

Cheers,

-Brian in SLC

Lynne,

If you get a chance check out Brugge & Gent. Brugge the Venice of the North is one of my favorite European cities, very special.

Best,

San Diego Airport, 6am. I didn't want to ask friends or family to take me to the airport at 5am so I used a van shuttle. Lucky me, they were busy and had to send a limo. Sweet way to start the journey. :D

I may look a bit "wide". It's cause I'm wearing two coats, a fleece, shirt, long underwear, rain proof boots and pants. It was a "little" warm at times, but So Glad now !!! My baggage is "misplaced" and I have no other warm clothing. And yeah Medusa, Mark Miller, Jan, hb81 and Michael.....it is Cold and wet here.

Park Rat, they're on the list, thank you. Been to Brugge before but it's worth a return.

When I got here today son Seth said we are scheduled to gym climb in a killer state of the art gym on Friday with Friends and Saturday there's a climbing contest. Will definetly take photos.

Since I just got here have not had time to link up with Lasti and some others. Things will unfold. Life is just about Loving it and Living it One Day at a Time.

Neebee as always thanks for your support. Love and Peace, lynnie

Uhhh, Houston, we have a problem. On and off boarded the plane in Sun Diego three times and then decided to ask for a change in flight agenda. Got routed through Dallas, Madrid and then Brussels. When I arrived today heard much of the midwest is snowed out (or in). Minnesota shut down ????

Lynne,

You could consider the lost luggage as a gift to the world... You know.. "Easy come, easy go"....

You have provided someone with exactly what they needed, and at just the right time... yo

yo, may even have saved a life today, with that lost luggage....

you can keep your fingers crossed... but... then again.. if its not part of your gods plan... than its not part of the plan.... and how you deal with the hand you've been dealt shows more about you than anybody else....

Just think of all the fun your gonna have replacing all those lost articles!!!!

You will be providing people with jobs...

helping the economy....

bring america/the world back from the brink.....

you know...

a butterfly flaps its wings in hong kong....... ?

good luck, many pictures better show up here soon... otherwise.......... I'll have to withhold my next bocce game!!!! (please, don't see this as mean, or underhanded... but it is coercion!!! LOL bwahahahaaahahahahahahahahahhaaaahahahahaahah (infinity)

Belgium In December? Does anyone remember the "Battle of the Bulge" and this ain't a weight loss thread. 60k US Casualties and most were related to the "Less then Tropical conditions"....Cotton fatigues in those conditions.....You're gonna die. Take the reindeer sled ride and go to the Mediterranean coast for some sun and bolt clipping.
