I love this shot. I grew up in the US, born in the midwest actually. My father came over here from Sichuan, but never taught us kids Mandarin .. and we were too busy to learn I guess .. just a few words here and there.

Chinese written in a Sierra summit register -- I love it :)

Sean,

I am one of Ishun's friend. We work together and I knew her for few years. She was such a great friend to have. I know this is a tough time for you. Please let me know if you need any help. I would like to know when and where her funeral will be, so I can pay my last visit to her.

Yours truly,
Tommy

We're organizing a climbing 'gathering' this weekend at a local crag where she spent a lot of time. Castle Rock or Skyline Slabs/Eagle Peak will see us have a toast and a few routes in her memorium.

Climb on!

Sunday looks like we're putting together a massive crew of climbers to memorialize our friend. We're gonna do what she loved doing, hanging out with friends, drinking beers, and knocking out routes.

It's definitely going down on Skyline Blvd, either CRSP or Aquarian Valley.

Be there! People can crash at my pad if they have to.

On belay!!!! If my son can make it, you can!

Oh my god, I have been climbing and was just informed of our friends passing.

Ish was by far the most chill lady I have had the pleasure of meeting. Never complained even during the most annoying events known to man. She was a bright light and an even brighter smile, a fantastic soul that i am proud to have met, talked to, laughed with, drank with, and cooked with.

I cannot believe this happened to such a girl!

Unbelievable, the energy that woman brought to the campfire.

Peace Ish, and I wish you the best from wherever you are looking down on us.

To all of her friends, my friends, family and fellow climbers, my deepest and most sincere condolences.

Best Regards,

Mucci

Good to see you chime in mucci, you should try to make our ClimbFest this weekend.

If you can't I understand. You just got back. Sh#t, if for no other reason, I've actually never climbed with you despite our repeated encounters...weird.

Whatever, though. You kick ass, Ishun kicked ass, and now we got a (wo)man down....Climb on!!!!

She was lucky to have so many friends, who are decidedly unlucky to have lost her. That leaves us with each other. Condolences to all.
