Lived in 'em from the beginning. But what's up with the latest generation of Gramicci?
The waist cinch won't stay tight. I guess it's okay for that ghetto look if you want to show off your boxers but not so great for climbing.
The pockets are a lot shallower. Important stuff falls out.
Outsourcing the manufacture?
Any Gramicci folks on here? Doesn't the creator post here sometimes?
Oh yeah, please bring back those Ninja pants or whatever they were called. I saw cool pictures of Werner, Bachar, and other heros running it out in those Ninja things so I rushed right out to the Mall and bought a pair so I could be cool too!

Don't know the full story, but the company is no longer owned by Mike.
Think;. Hostile takeover. Lowered standards. ect..
I have also heard that he lost control over all his original designs. Serious bummer. Haven't been able to confirm that.
This is his latest effort.

Please take everything I said with a grain of salt, except the link. That is the real deal.

Are Gramicci's still around? I thought they got absorbed by some mega-corporate-opolis. I used to love 'em, except that they don't make 'em for 38" inseams like mine- they look like pantaloons when I wear 'em (though I do appreciate the Capt. Jack Sparrow comparisons).

Mike sold the Gramicci brand LONG ago. His Stonemasters gear is the new generation with the original quality.
A couple of seasons ago I won a "design something out of mosquito netting that you can run, ride and climb in" contest at Outdoor Retailer and, as a result, I received a $250 gift certificate to Gramicci. I was psyched. Then the products came and within WEEKS the seams were coming out! New stuff=junk.

yup...the new incarnations aren't so burly. I had a pair of 'em whose life was limited to a 2 week trip in Josh. On the last night I doused the tat in scout juice and torched 'em in the fire pit.

yes folks its true, after thousands of years making
clothes that work, the growth for growth sake freaks
have taken over, mulitplied and "forgotten" how to do it,
real progress, real evolution :-)
too bad, Gramicci was great and Mike's business model
was stellar, glad he's doing the new Stonemaster thing...buy that.
