It's forbidden to kill monkeys in Hindu and Buddhist lands because of their close relationship to us. Maybe Christians eat monkeys to deny this relationship?

I thought it was the Buddhists in Asia that ate the monkey brains. Some Asian sect, I'm not sure which one.

Chinese people sometimes eat monkey brains as a delicacy. When they do so, they demonstrate they are not Buddhist but lean toward Confucianism or something else.
Christian Phillipinos eat monkeys, but they eat the whole thing and they kill it and cook it first.
