The video they posted was nice, but they didn't get into what was too hard or long etc. that caused them to back off Nanda Devi East.

I watched the first morning rays strike Nanda Devi once, but from the comfort of a motel room in Kausani (about 60km away) where the whole Himalaya and Karakoram ranges spread out in a large arc covering half of the world visible from that point. Nanda Devi and Trisul are so big, it seemed like we were right beneath them!

Right on the edge of town in Kausani, there are packs of kala mu lungurs (black-faced monkeys) that stalk you when you take an evening stroll.
