Anyone know much about these guys? I've Seen there name in the Yos guide on a couple of first ascents. They did a few fa's on Parkline, wondering if other unknown routes there were also put up by eiher of them?

Clint? You always seem to be in the know?

I know Eric. I lived with and played in many bands with his son, who is now the banjo player in a fairly well known california bluegrass/country/folk band.
Eric's a school teacher, a good one. And a great dude to boot.
He also put up some routes on Liberty Cap or Broderick, I forget.

Dave put up one of the best routes on Poly Dome (AKA Stately Pleasure Dome) called Daddy's Little Girl. Tough mantel to start then lots of thin edging.

Dave lived in the Bay area for a long time. Bruce Morris may know where he is these days.
He and his friends put up a couple of nice sport routes to the left of the Bachar Yerian area as well (I cannot remember which ones are his, but I have a dim memory of climbing them the day they finished bolting them.)

Jeff,

All I know is about the same as what phylp posted. I'll send an email to Bruce Morris.

Ask Chris Belizzi. He knows if Rick Harlan doesn't. I know that Eric Mayo put up some crack routes up Illouette Canyon too. Me and Eric added a second pitch on to "Dead Babies" on GPA in 1984 that joins up with "Mother's Lament" - 165 ft, two bolts. Never got into any guidebook though. Unrepeated as far as I know. History's always becoming the present, but sometimes it just disappears into the void!

Caunt/Settlemire were a powerful team in the 80's with good Tuolumne routes such as Omega Race, Vapor Lock, Fight the Power and Shell Shock on Medlicott and Murder by Numbers, Tin Pan Alley and Shadow of a Doubt on Hammer Dome. Hardcore Stance Drillers !!!

Got a voice message from Bellizi saying someone was looking for me and barking something about Parkline slabs.
I have returned to my grass roots in Chico.
Need to get over to the old stomping grounds at Bald Rock dome in Oroville to see if the bolts have been replaced yet. Only been some 28 years since those bolts were installed (by hand).

Dave,
How's the world treating you. It's been awhile, I always wondered if you were still up around Skyline or not.
