Not too many people would take 5 1/2 hours on a pitch just to be a dick.

Congrats to both you and the guys who struggled ahead of you for getting to the top.

Thanks, big wall Steve.
You are very patient, fixing 6 on a 10 pitch route is beyond lame, I'd've cut their fixed lines, well not really, maybe.

Cool story and good times! we bivvyed twice with no outside party interference, you guys rocked.

Jaybro...They fixed to the top of 6 from the bivy ledge to get a jump start on the day. More polite (and SOP for many) than lame under the circumstances.

No, the red cord was someone elses. I just think its lame to leave fixed lines on a classic route. The guys ahead just fixed 5 and 6 overnight. Thats the standard way to do the route.

I was hauling 3 and 4 and it got really tough. I couldnt move the bag and I thought I was messed up. After quite a while I look down and and see the red cord wrapped around my haulbag.

If you want to fix to bail you only need to fix 1 and 2 so you dont have to downaid.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the TR! I've done that route a couple times and P7 always takes too long.

Cheers,

El Cap next? Redemption the column?

Seeing the stupid red rope piled up in the booty bushes at the base topped off the day as we walked out. I'd pay money to see the pissed off look of whoever owns that rope!

Nice TR Steve - congrats to you and Moof!

Haven't climbed it but I've been at the base, and it's spooky/scary just STANDING there!!
