Here is a slide show from my trip the Ruth Gorge of Alaska in June. In a few weeks, i will have the photos from my partner, and get a trip report going and explain what the four routes are. The big mountain is Denali. The short wall are 2000 feet tall. the biggest one is 5200(!)

Here is how to watch it:

1) you need QuickTime. if you don't have it, then go here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

2) you need to turn on your volume

3) click on this link: AND THEN WAIT 1-2 MINUTES. the file is 5MB. on a dial up connection it could take 20 minutes to download

Wow. Awesome photos. You lucky bastards... climbing in a t-shirts. Is that typical weather? 3 new routes???

Technical matter: the music intro is in mono, and then goes to stereo a few slides in. Listen through a pair of earphones.

Nice job.

Wow...nice shots!

So...come on, dish it out. What routes on what formations? Looks like you guys did a route to the right of the Cobra Pillar on Barrille? Then another on one of them tooth's (eye or sugar er something below the Mooses Tooth).

Better lookin' rock in some of those photo's. Hmmm...looked kinda crappy on the west ridge of the Mooses Tooth and the base of the Gargoyle...

Great stuff...thanks.

ill be posting a trip report soon with more photos and slide shows. just waiting for the photos from my partner who just got married on the Pika Glacier (AKA LIttle Switzerland - congrats joe and michelle!)

yep the music is moby "everlasting"
we climbed the cobra pillar, eye tooth, hut tower and the stump (AKA Butterfly Buttress)
most of the snow had melted off the glacier by the time we left. which left many crevasses just barely covered. i fell into 12... but only twice did my entire body go in and both those times i caught myself at the lip before taking the ride... definitely a eye-opening intro to crevasse travel!

ill give more details and photos in about a week

No it's not...that's how Moby does his song.

That Moby song is a bit "played out" for slide shows don't you think? =)

For a good reason though! Sweet show. It'd be cool if you could caption the routes you are on...

thx!

Ancient thread bump - Is there still somewhere to download the slide show?
Love to see that, considering the other stuff you've produced.

Just bought the Alaska ebook. Nice work.
