I've tried "The bean" a couple times on my lunch breaks... It was way easier before they laser polished it.

Beta: super-cold windy day, bring a water-bladder inside your jacket attached to a spritzer nozzle. Spray, place hands, stick.
That works for the first hold or two at least. You may lose some skin on this.
