"Hashbro" is celebrating his birthday today. Spencer , as you know, was on the first ascent of Figures on a Landscape at Joshua Tree.....(So. Cal's best climb)...and Such a Savage (with Doc. F.).First Free ascent of Course and Buggy..(hexes and stoppers)...Black President, etc...the list goes on and on....he's a climbing machine, and he out there trying his damnest to protect/represent out planet and the creatures of our planet.....He's the man, and he's one year more handsome . Have a beer, my friend;....and keep on keepin' on....

I remember Spencer as a really good climber in the mid-'70s. Remember that cross country ski trip when Joan Horner forgot her sleeping bag and between the rest of us men (well, boys, really) somehow you were the one who came to her rescue by sharing your sleeping bag with her? It's the most enduring memory of that trip for me. Happy Birthday!
