I put up what i think was a new route at Hogsback last week with Todd Offenbacher and Petch. it climbs three pitches about 80 feet right of Its Better With Bacon* I need a name for it (unless someone else has already climbed it and it has a name). Throw out your ideas! This route is a little spicy but not quite runnout. i would reccommend it for confident 5.8 leads who dont mind 5.7 face moves a fair distance above your gear.

Here is the beta
Pitch 1: Climb first pitch of Better With Bacon or scramble up the 4th class to the right.

Pitch 2: (5.7, 160') Climb the big right facing flakey corner right of Better with Bacon. at the top of the corner step right to a left facing corner. Belay on a ledge.

Pitch 3: (5.7, 90') climb straigh up from the belay. There are a few overlaps for gear for a spicy and almost runout 5.7 face crux.

Pitch 4: (5.8, 190') Climb straight over the roof then a little left and then most straight up to the summit. I originally pulled the roof then wandered right and then back left. This is an easier variation, but going straight up from the belay is more proud.

Rack: 1 each cams to 2", one set stoppers.

Below is a photo of Petch on the last pitch.

* this about half the climbing on this route was originally done by David Babich and crew back in the day. i'll mention that in the next edition of the supertopo book.

I second "Chorizo". I like "The Other White Meat" too.
