Anyone up for meeting at Mountain Sage in Groveland Sunday night for Hot Buttered Rum and The Adam Burns Band? 5pm, $16.

And then climbing the next day in Yos or the Meadows? 5.7-.8ish?

I'll go alone if I have to, but I'd rather not.

This sounds like a great time, and wish I were closer (I'll move back "home" someday). Who cares who the bands are, a great concert is about who shows up that makes it happening. Groveland's way overdue for a good spot to meet friends, and Sage's is that place.

Thanks Hossjulia!

Jesse, I have a big work day Sunday, but with the following 2 days off, decided to go anyway. It's 80 miles from TPR, 70 for you!
I'll get all packed today, clean out my food infested car, change the spark plugs, plant flowers, work, work from 6-3 tomorrow and jet over, not exceeding the speed limit through the park, of course. ;->

Lynne, you comin this way next month? You bet we have to go climbing! I know the route too. 4 pitch 5.7 with a fairy tale approach. Are you camping? let me know and I'll get you a spot in the bestest campground around. Want a room? email me, not many left. (I do the reservations for TPR)
As for music, check out the Mobil line up.

Yeah, Jesse, It's not how good the band is, it's the people who show up.
A Grateful Dead Show is testament to that! I've seen them over 100 times, which isn't much to a Dead Head. I'm not a Dead Head. I saw them once without drugs and it was the worst! The scene was always entertaining.

I've seen thousands of concerts and only find a dozen or so memorable.

It's not so much about the music as it is about having a good time.

Trespassers live @ Tuolumne Meadows.

Blitzo – exactly! I was going to say the same thing. Another “local” show that brought me down from the meadows:
Grateful Dead Live at Calaveras Co. Fairgrounds on 1987-08-22

For the real old timers, Fresno: http://www.archive.org/details/gd1974-07-19.sbd.pre-dankfix.4596.sbeok.shnf

How about 4th of July at Bear Valley High Sierra:

Of course, there was always the Greek too:

hossjulia, I’m not the Jesse you think I am – I’m stuck about 900 miles north. BITD they called me Risk. The speed limit won’t be a problem - better plan to get caught in traffic.

Make it happen!

You bet, she's got the killer schedule so she is gone right now.

Beth is awesome, she helps me out sometimes in cabins and always is one step ahead of what needs to be done. Just awesome.
AND, I'm almost strong enough to climb with her!
