here's a few slogans that come to mind

no risk, no gain

think outside the box

work smarter, not harder

follow your bliss

if you aren't in school you are falling behind

there must be other sound bites of questionable value? ha

The box is infinite.

One can never think outside of it.

Oh man. I took some pretty dumb advice from my parents when Wally Barker asked me to help him buy some property at auction in 2000. I had a pretty high stress epic undoing the mess but it all worked out.

Son,

Invest in Blue Chip stocks. You know, banks, auto companies, the big insuarance firms. Safe, secure - hell, they're for widows and orphans. Dividends like clock work. Real estate. Nobody has ever lost money in California real estate. Mark my words.

"Stay in school!"

Oops, didn't follow that one.

"Never back up more than you have to."

Oops, that was actually one of the few good driving tips my parents gave me.

"Never quit a job in less than 3 years."

Utter BS. The 2 years, 11 months, and 29 days it took to get out of this disaster was way too long.
