So this came after Petroglyph Point but on the way to Lassen.
Didn't have much time to spend here so didn't go into any of the real tubes or caves.
Fairly dramatic rain shower...
The next morning...
Sunny California

You do sort of have to watch your step around here...

that rainbow's a stunner. good thing the lens was wide enough to take in such elemental drama in one gulp.

you know who put the ice in those insulated lava caves for the long, hot truck across the modoc desert?
jeeezzus, thats who.
jeezzus put those ice caves there for us weary travelers.
you go in, you hack up a block, haul it out, split it in two, and put it on your mule.
