I think so, they are the same size. However, the spreader bar may cause you problems if you are talking about the fully enclosed fly, as it is a tight fit and there is not room in the floor to accommodate the bar.

However, you can use the metolius single without the spreader bar or take it out in a weather situation, but then you will have to lay there on it and you will suffer accordingly.

Oh. I thought that both the BD and the Metolius had a spreader bar. Not so, apparently.
Do you like how the BD sets up? I was kind of weary of the bolts and hangers and stuff - doesn't look as clean of a look as the Metolius ledge... So now I wonder if it's not better to get the whole thing... any preference, kate?
P.S - How's the water shute (AKA Bad Seed ) is treating you guys? Last I talked to Pete he sounded excited about the climbing. Sounded like good value pitches that demand thought and skill, not the good ol'e clip the mank and go....

Thx for your time.

Oh, Skully....

I spent nine nights on El Cap recentlly, and every night I put on a show titled "wrestle the ledge". wrestling a pig is kind of inherent business when climbing walls, but to set up a double ledge without any help was just cruel and unusual.... too big to handle on my own.... The solution - sell the double, get a single....
Any thoughts on which one to pick? ( and why ?)

I really like my old school A5 single.
Works like a champ for me. Easy to get dialed, no sleeping cheek to cheek(haha).
Think I would've enjoyed watching the LeoLedge Show!
Good clean fun(except for the cursing part......)

Brother, it was quite a show... we were under the tangerine trip roof in a storm that lasted all day. the drips were horrendous... It was like trying to set up a ledge under a jet shower head... to top it off, the junk show ( It was me and PTPP) is mostly on my side. To top that, there's some junk from a guided party attached to the anchor. I'm tired, dirty and wet and all I really want is to shower and lay in bed next to a beautifull woman (or women...)
I tried to keep calm and collected, but I obviously violated one of the ten big wall commandments: "Know thy ledge as you know thy penis, or I shall strike down thee with hordes of entanglements, mischief and demise..." (proverbs, pitch 4, night two )
Wasn't that clean of fun, but had you had a scope at the meadows, you would have laughed your *ss off for a week....

It was a blast... I'm back in tucson now, and all I can think of is the view from high up on the captain... clouds rolling in and creeping upwards toward you, birds flying by to check you out.... seems like a better way to live.... so much simpler and so much more focused... I guess thats partly why we climb....
