Last weekend I climbed at a Crag near Markleville on Highway 4 about 1.3 miles west of the junction of highway 4 and 89 (approx 5 miles west of Markleville) The crag is right on the Carson river and adjacent to a highway 4 bridge that crosses the river. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this area. Some of the climbs were very good. It is all bolted sport and there are probably a dozen climbs there. I understand that Dano may have put it up. The first 3 climbs are 5.12 and the next 3 are 5.11. There is also a small cave closer to Markleville (1.3 miles from Markleville) near a bridge (200 yards towards Markleville from the Bridge)that I understand Tommy Herbert may have put up (or should I say glued up) that has been discussed in supertopo forums previously.
