My girlfriend sent me this today whilst I was a work...

http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Mom-of-Octuplets-Lives-with-Parents-Has-6-Other-Kids.html

"14 kids? Seriously there's your answer as to why California is in such great debt. They allow the Dr's to give fertility drugs to women when they already have children which defeats the entire purpose of the drug in the first place. And she want's to remain anonymous when the media loves to give away free sh#t to families of multiples? And doesn't want to discuss if it was fertility drugs or not, well lady I don't think you are a feline or a canine so it biologically impossible for her to have 8 children naturally.Clearly something is up probably an illegal mexican that was getting her drugs for free, living in a 2 bedroom house with her parents and her 6 welfare children chanting OBAMA! OBAMA!

Sorry for the rant this just really irks me and knowing that the hospital bill for the 8 babies is going to be attrocious since claims for a single birth with a 2 night stay would be over 25,000 and she's been in the hospital for 7 weeks and the babies will be there for at least 9 weeks, thats a bill well over 3 million dollars and if by chance she does have insurance most have a lifetime max payout of 1 million which will leave the rest of the bill for the tax payers. They should make the Dr's that are so proud of their CNN moment pay the hospital bill."

There is a certain religion that encourages
this across the cul-de-sac from us in
Idaho Falls, there were 18 kids between
two households!!!!!

The article you cite may not support the conclusions you suggest.

"A British newspaper and CBS News report that the mother who gave birth to octuplets at Kaiser Permenente Medical Center in Bellflower, Calif., already has six children -- including twins -- who are living with her parents while she recovers.

The Sun reported that the mother is 'believed to be Hispanic,' but her identity is being kept a secret; the paper did not cite its source."

It doesn't say that she's Mexican, or an illegal immigrant, or on welfare. Nor does it say that she's permanently living with her parents - only that her existing six children are, for the time being.

I agree that it's absurd for anyone to have six, let alone fourteen, children. Particularly if she was using fertility drugs.

18! DAYUM!

However...what adds insult to injury here is that this woman isn't making enough money to even support her self and six other kids...and she has been in the hospital for several weeks which is not cheap.

It is a multifaceted affront to basic human decency and (un)common sense.

My entire office has been in an uproar about this all day. Apparently this woman is also a single mother. The people who agreed to give her in vitro for these 8 additional kids ought to have their heads examined.

Time to tax people with more than two kids. Hit them where it makes them think before over breeding.

Talk about winning the lottery - between the extra exemptions, the Earned Income Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit - this cow just scored more free tax payer's money than from any job she might have worked.

And the worst thing - she's probably both a Christian and an Republican.

How do we decide which ones to kill?

Given that they weren't aborted already, and all?

Republican and Hispanic? Is that possible?

I know. You guys are just joking, too.

Funny!

Probably a member of the "Quiverfull" movement.

In which case, almost certainly Christian and Republican.

Don't kill - that's too barbaric.

But I would agree to limiting the amount of tax breaks and publicly funded assistance one can get after kid number 2.

Sorry for any ranting - but I've been doing volunteer tax work for po' folks the last few weeks and am getting sick and tired of the federal freebies these freeloaders get just for hatching kids.

And yes - they are fatties!

How some ahole with an income of 12 grand a year can afford so much friggin food as to get to 300 pounds of lard is a mystery to me.
