After a long month of low temps, the days have become longer and the Boulder Batholith is now once again climbable. I met up with Jeff, Erik and 3 of the Mojede 4 for some bouldering among the flurries...

It turned out to be a successful and fun day...pretty rad way to start the year among boulders...

Cheers,

Were avi conditions too heinous to be out b/c skiiin' ?

actually thing were pretty nasty from what I've heard...but after a month of no outside rock it was perfect...new problems and old projects...good stuff, just wish I didn't space the fire...

Pretty fun area...that boulder holds some good problems, you'd like it Roy, it's kind of down by tracks where we were touring, but up in the forest more....hard project on the overhanging face...

(March of last year...)

here's the photosynth...I think it works with the Mac now too(from what I've read at least....)

EDIT:

Glad you like the blog Tami...fun dude for sure!

and it's on now! Look forward to more pebble reports....least it dumps on the batholith

maybe like font because of the sand?

here's another like that...
(though not in the same area...about a mile or so away...near the track still though...)

One more from the Druthers, if this is still floating tomorrow, I'll add some more...

Cheers!

You gonna make this one??? LOL!!

I'd be into it...but maybe one long weekend instead of two...perhaps easier to draw a crowd

I was bummed, as well, for not bringing a flame with to create fire--the kiddos would have been waay more into the day then. Lyddie and Laddie did pretty well IMO that day, what with the temps, light snow, and .66 mile approach.

Next day, I grabbed Ben to go sample some stone, and have him try rock climbing with actual rock shoes on. He did not disappoint, and was way stoked to find a new way to move vertically--too bad he leaves in three days for MT Nat'l Guard training and service.

At least the seed got planted.
