Ding Ding Ding.....Braaaaaaaahhhhhh...

Right guy.
Wrong route.
Nice one Tar!

My folks surprised us coming out of the woods after the SUCCESSFUL third ascent of Tribal Rite.

Here's the look on my mug.

There's a couple old coffin dodgers around here who know who we were accompanied by......

Tarbuster, were you the one that called us all collectively "The Lords of Leisure" or something like that?
Were you on rescue at that time? Rob was trying to remember..

The old hard drive ain't what it used to be.

I was around when you guys did tribal rite.
That would have been before the Half Dome deal, not by much, a year if that...

Lords of Leisure; sounds more like Russ.

I was probably just a regular lodge lot denizen at the time.
I may have had a brief stint on rescue.
Something like 1981.

Yeah Werner, you're the one I pestered about beta every time I ran into you! You gave me very good advice about "all those copperheads." I always appreciated your low key attitude.
I just talked to Lesher about you today.

Lepton was roughhewn yet self-possessed.
He had a sort of class to which most of us were clueless.

Chez, I am the unknown, the breeze, the smoke which whispers by and then disappears.

Otherwise known as Bruce Birchell, possibly the least known of the old permanent party crew.

Walleye and Werner,
right on both accounts.

Dawn and I were married for a few years and have two great kids together, Justin and Megan. Justin turns 20 tomorrow!

Werner,
Yeah I trained American military for four years and then overseas for four years also. Then 9 yrs of private instruction in Alaska.

Robbie did go whack for windsurfing. In fact he still lives in Hawaii, just talked to him today.

So, I know this one has circled around here before, but; Whatever happened to Lepton?

I lost track some time back (80's?) when he was married/seriously involved and working in Sonora, as a carpenter? cabinetmaker?

Hi Nita, been missing your name here!
I had a ball stumbling across these today.
I hope to find more soon, or get a slide scanner sometime.
I'm trying to talk Rob into going to Maui to dig his stuff out too.
Yes, I remember Chris's girlfriend. What happened to her?
I will track Chris down soon.......

Jaybro, He's still in that area. I spoke to Greg S. about him. Like I said, I'll get a number soon.

It only took me 23 years to find Rob........

more pic please......oops just saw your edit to Jay.

Bruce, I think it's Global warming/ science ..but i could be wrong...edit: ...I remember Sonagere asying, he presented scientific data to the Bush Administration.

Nita,

Funny that he could be a govt type, after giving me endless grief about joining the military and becoming one of the dark minions!! He really gave it to me, along with a few others. They acted as though I'd never climb again. Well, it's 26 yrs later and I'm still at it. HA!
