Thinking about a trip there late Feb to early March. Would appreciate info on temperature that time of year and the best way of handling logistics. I would fly to Monterrey then is it best to take a taxi?

I have found flying into Monterrey is the way to go. The airport is easy to negotiate.
If you are staying at La Posada or the other typical climber friendly places up by the cliffs, they can arrange an airport pick-up for you via their website. My experience is that the folks at La Posada are very squared away and will be at the airport waiting for you even if your flight is delayed. Cost is about $35 each way - same as if you get a taxi at the airport (if you decide to get a taxi at the airport, you need to be a little prepared with exactly where you want to go and how you want to get there. This requires at least a little Spanish ability). Check out websites:

Assuming you get in during business hours, you can have the driver stop at the grocery store in Hildago before heading up to the cliffs. Saves going back down to town later.
Late February/March weather should be fine.

Does anybody know if Checo and his wife are still running the restaurant out of the old stable just out of the canyon?
I have such great memories of that place.

March is good, we're gonna be there mid-march and my only worry is that the south facing walls will be hot. Lots of shade though so I'm not too worried.
We flew in and had La Posada pick us up. No problems.
They can provide all your needs, including getting you a taxi to get to town for resupply.
Last January, Checos was still going strong.
