The menace:

The crew:

Queen of Wyde:

Ed H with injured foot (and wall of fame in foreground):

Scuffy showing us how the arm bar is done:

And the trusty hand/fist stack:

And Brutus of Wyde surprises us with the elbow:

The elbow?

But he's got other tricks too:

I felt pretty good on this width with the butterfly stack , right armbar, and left armbar. Well, I had to bicycle my feet a little (well a lot) on the left armbar. But I don't have the hang of this calf-lock thingie yet. For me personally, the Scuffy redwood beast is harder, but Gary's machine ain't no walk in the park.

Weird. When I loaded it in Internet Explorer, several of the pictures were missing. Then in Opera, same pictures were missing. In Firefox, all pics were there (that is browser I used when viewing them already in picasaweb.com

Is there some thing where they rate-limit photo downloads from a browser client or something? When I loaded the individual missing pictures they came through OK, then after this cache they displayed correctly when reloading this supertopo thread. Then I do a Ctrl-F5 to force a picture reload and the same pictures are missing again in IE and Opera.

I onsighted this width/venue with butterlys and right side armbars. All further refinements, have ended in various highpoints of disaster.

"Jay, Scuffy is one of those guys that should always have a girlfriend. If He doesn't, what hope is there for guys like you and me?" said Mike Friedrichs...

Whoa Ed, that is some snazzy video editing on short notice!

Glad to see footage of Gary in there, I managed to not get any pictures of his laps.

Now every time I see Scuffy I'll hear I'M A MONKEY!!!

I was there last night. Gary C., scuffyb, spyork and me. OW 101 size. Hand fist stack, throw in a knee, repeat. The funny thing is I've got it wired with the right knee in and I stuggle like crazy when attempting the left knee.

It was the proper combination of number of climbers and
temperature.
Not too cold waiting, beer was perfect, just enough rest time...

it's a horrible, though useful for learning, size, right now.

Bump for a gang of folks I miss hanging out and climbing with!

Ed, thanks for making that hilarious video. Scuffy has some priceless facial expressions watching whatever unorthodox footwork I use for lack of having learned proper technique. Hearing his voice in my head later helped me get up Sacherer Cracker first try.
