What up guys and gals? Thought I would see if any of you had some telemark skis and/or bindings. I'm looking to get an all mountain ski to tour and resort ski with, and it will be my first ski. I don't really wanna spend more than $300 for both, which ain't a lot, but I don't need anything too fancy. Just wanna learn to tele and have some fun. Any help is much appreciated!!!

good on you for wanting to pick up tele skiing. I learned in the 90's on scaled skis and leather boots with 3 pin bindings. First couple days were painful but worth it and even with bruised hips I wondered why I hadn't started sooner.
you don't need the latest shaped and beefy plastic gear to get started for sure (though plastic boots do seem to boost the learning curve significantly)

Thanks Walleye but those sound like they're about ten feet too long for me (I'm 6 foot and 165lbs). That is a nice looking ski though - nice and light!!

Yeah if I can double my weight by the time I hit the snow, I'll be good!

200mm is just shy of 8" Who are they for a skiing Chihuahua?? Steve McKinney's foot wouldn't even fit on them. No wonder you can't sell them.

I have some old skinny skis with 3-pin bindings you can have for free. About 190 cm or so.

Do they have some metal edges? I feel like that might help if I wanna get some turns in...cuz I got a pair from a friend last year - kinda the same deal....3pin, skinny, 190ish ski but NO metal edges, which doesn't help on the turns much. I was kinda thinking something along the lines of the g3 ace, k2 world or super. The non metal ones would prolly work for a climb when I just wanna get somewhere, but when I wanna do some skiing, I think a bigger ski would be more fun. I don't know....I am new to this.....so any and all advice is much welcomed!!!

Thanks guys for the hits! Hmmm....not sure but I think a 190 sounds too long for someone that weighs 165. What do you think? It sounds to me like something in the 170s should work out about right.
And on the boots - thanks atchafalaya, but boots were the one thing I decided to spend some decent dough on. I got the T2X's and figured making my feet happy was a pretty good call.

Don't know where you live, but I have a pair of black diamond skis bought a couple years ago with hammerhead bindings. I am in Santa Cruz, CA. Great for the lifts but have also taken them to tuolumne mdws in the winter. I forget the model of the skis but if you are interested, I pull em out and take photos. I am in China until shortly after xmas, so that would be the soonest I could get you info. They are in excellent condition. No gouges and bindings are stiff and have a touring mode. Skis are semi fat. Not obese, not skinny and definitely no more than three years old.
