Wahoos all the way. Two locations in CM, one in NB and other locations nearby. Super healthy and tasty food; inexpensive too. Something for everyone.
Taco Mesa is OK too.

Strongly second justaclimber's recomendation for El Granjenal. By far the best and most authentic in OC, and I've been to most of them. The fact that 95% of the clientele is mexican is a good sign. Just remember to pack some heat if you're going after dark. Taco Mesa is good, just not quite as og.

If you want to rock and hang with the stars Javiers, between Crystal Cove and Corona del Mar. (Check their web site.) It's fun for a special nite out. No taco stand tho, this place is pricey and you may wanna wear a nice shirt with yo jeans.
El Modena, Moreno's on Chapman Ave. got the Mariachi band going and food's pretty good. Have fun for me too ! Lynne
