Yes, here it is again... my semi-annual Smith Rock trip report covering mostly frontside moderates. Someday, I'll branch out. Maybe next trip. I have nothing against the back side and other crags... I actually enjoy getting out of the frontside areas. But, it somehow happens that my more trip-report-worthy trips happen in herds, which typically tend to stick to the frontside crags.
This one covers a bunch of front side moderates, at Overboard, Morning Glory, the Peanut, Dihedrals, 4th Horseman, Christian Brothers and Phoenix Buttress. It was another great, sunny, warm trip to Smith...
Here's the link to the full trip report: http://tinyurl.com/5jagqy
And here are two pics to get you started...
That's a view of Morning Glory wall and surrounding area.
and yes, that's me... and yes, I'm on toprope. On a 5.9. It was fun.
Enjoy...

Hey! I actually rather like Snuffy Smith. It's fun, and it's more exposed than most that close to the ground. I tend to pay it a visit whenever I go to Smith...
