I have a 9.4mm rope that I'd like to retire. I know, I know .. make a rope rug, tow line, etc .. well, my place is kinda small for that ..

The story is that this rope was in my car during my accident last year and has been in storage ever since. The bag it was in was ripped, and I noticed some auto glass in it. Flaking the rope out I didn't notice any obvious problems except for some spots where it seemed a little thinner than the rest of the rope .. not really flat spots exactly (or are they ?)

It's a Beal Stinger III w/goldendry, made in 2006, went up a bunch of good stuff that year, so I can't really complain. I have no clue what happened to the rope during or immediately after the crash, and am kind of worried about using it. I have other ropes, and just don't want to put this one in the landfill .. so I'd like to find it a good home :)

Maybe it could be chopped into short ropes ? Perhaps your garden needs some extra ornamentation ? BDSM =:-O ?

Anyway, I can bring it with me to PG Sunnyvale or whatever.

I bet if you took it to wide Wednesday in Sunol, it wouldn't need a ride home.

You could also mail it to Sterling for recycling... they do any brand.

Seeing as BOTH times we were to climb you went to the hospital instead, I have 1st dibs. I think you owe me that rope.
PS ; You may be bad luck so just make a rug & forward it.
