I used to be able to edit vids that are taken with the camera sideways. I would import them into Flash and could manipulate them from there. Unfortunately my Flash app is useless with my silly "upgrade" to Vista. (don't do it btw)
Is there a cheap app that can rotate vid so that it is oriented correctly?

found it... please disregard
Windows Live Photo Gallery http://download.live.com/photogallery
has a rotate button on the bottom right. It works for vids.

You can "flip" in Windows Movie Maker . Might as well use it cuz you sure as hell can't get rid of it (WMM) .

Biotch, 'flip' inverts the image. Rotate is to essentially move each corner 90 degrees.
and I am using WMM.
I'm open to recommendations for other movie making software, as WMM doesn't give granular control over the audio without slicing and dicing the video itself and then inserting a fade in or fade out transition on the audio.
