I love and have always loved C. Watkins photographs. He wintered in Mariposa, where I'm from, and his images from up on the hills, looking down into my gold-rush era mega boom-town are priceless to me. Also, his logging camp portraits out in Jerseydale are awesome, not to mention all the Yosemite work. I WANT TO GO TO THE GETTY!
