OK, here is the beta;

Neptune's will take copies of Beyond The Vertical with donations for Layton through thursday afternoon.

The books can be picked up signed from saturday morning on.
If they can be picked up sooner it will be posted HERE.
Please don't tie up Neptunes' phones. They are doing a real solid here.

Presumably the signing will be with a pencil, or its expensive equivalent, the space pen. Ordinary pens don't work well beyond the vertical. Sure wish I could go to Kor's show.

Hey Anders, at this point some of us are just happy to be beyond the horizontal.

Mtnmln,
this is for people who bought a $35 book now worth about a quarter grand that want to increase its value as a signed copy.

Hi Ron, I just got off the phone with Neptune Mountaineering and the people I spoke to said that there is no truth to the rumor that they are handling a book signing. Do you have current info that is different?
Thanks,
Drew

Well I just got off the phone with the person arranging the location for the books to be transported to, and Gary already OKed the deal so let ME call them.

Well velocity balloon looks like you were right.
They weren't accepting copies.

(a little case of right hand/ left hand)

But I just got off the horn with Gary and they ARE NOW.

Once again, it would be better if you do not tie up the phone lines.
Just drop off your copy before closing thursday.

Ron, there's an aid route at Squamish called Horizontally Prone. Climbed by Eric and Daryl in 1974. Two traverse pitches, starting part-way up another route.

Gordie's 1975 guide opened its short description with: "This climb best describes these fellows' drinking habits; strictly lightweights."

Either of those guys could put me under the table, but then you men of the great white north get so much practice.

I figured it was a troll.
I've heard people are lining up early.

There has been a bit of confusion at Neptunes but I think they are on it 100% now.

Once again; don't call, deliver the book to the store by 6:00 thursday, pickup from saturday on.
