As time goes by it is becoming obvious to everyone that the current financial meltdown was caused by the Democrats. Plain and simple, what did they expect giving loans to Homeless people and illegals.
Think about it. 900 Billion down the crapper?
The Mars mission will only cost 400 Billion spread over 10 years.
Please do not vote for Obama in November.

Obama and McCain are half brothers. It's just not widely reported.

Maybe we could sell Yosemite to China, that would bring in a few billion. Ebay. Joshua Tree Ebay, Alaska Ebay.

I watched as Americans blew their only chance at nominating anyone who knew anything about the economy.
Now it doesn't matter who you elect. Or are you still too dumb to see that? What will it take? Someone told you this would happen. It happened. The other guys were having a popularity contest and admitted they knew nothing about the economy. You chose them.
Quit whining.

Juan,
Again I feel compelled to tell you to STFU!
How lame are you in thinking this wall street financial mess is caused by any single political party?
This crisis was caused by ill-conceived schemes to give loans to underqualified consumers & the companies behind it just see the Fed as a big bail-out for their own financial stupidity.
I will be voting for Obama in November & I shall rejoice when he is declared the winner.
NASA is an aging dinosaur that just sucks up money with little return for the US taxpayer. NASA funding should be slashed & the funds currently allocated for it should be given to education & programs like Head Start & such.
We can't even afford adequate safety on passenger trains but you want to spend 400 million on space travel & research. What exactly are YOUR priorities?

I'm just glad we have a real hero like John McCain to fix this mess. Those years in a POW camp are going to pay off, and US citizens will reap the rewards!
I can't believe Obama is still campaigning during this tragedy. Why he isn't he doing something like McCain? All those rumors about him being a terrorist are starting to sound true!

there's nothing more intrusive than a passenger jet flying into the window of your office...i don't feel intruded upon by the patriot act, but that's probably because i'm not a terrorist

juan,
dude, put the crack pipe down and open your eyes.
up until Jan 2007- the republicans have held the majority of both houses for 14 years (remember Gingrich and his contract with america?) and the white house for 7 years. They were the ones who pushed the deregulation (Phil Graham and friends) of these industries. They cut funding for SCC to keep an eye on wall street.
To think that Obama and the Dem's are fully responsible is bull sh#t.
Both parties had a hand in this long before Obama became a senator.
Both parties need to fix this once Obama is in office. McCain will get worked in the debate today like a 5.9 trad climber trying their first 5.11!!

Some of the left and right spins starting to make me sick, ugh! Too bad we had to experience 9/11! Mr. Clinton had the opportunity to eliminate Al Quaida and Bin Laden, but ordered special ops to stand down. Talk about cause and affect? And Viet Nam was that not a democratic cluster f__k? It took the Republicans to get us the hell out of there! Not saying all democrats are to blame, just reminding the brainless that both parties are guilty! As far as the debate is concerned, Obama is all liberal floral fluff! If we are talking about political experience, then how the hell is Obama qualified with only a few weeks as a senator? With all the impending social and taxing to be done under Obama, how is this going to help our economy? Think before you vote!!!! I am not crazy about staying in Iraq another year with McCain either! Set the f...ing deadline and get the hell out of that quagmire!

All this deregulation was done under the Clinton administration, then why did Mr. President not veto it? Perhaps he took his eye off the ball and focused on young Monica!!! This was a joint screw up, so lets share the blame here. This over-rated President was all show and no substance. Sacraficed the future just to satisfy the present and his liberals. Too bad he was not confroted with anything like 9/11 and Katrina. President Bush was not over-rated nor was he given enough credit for anything positive. This President was obviouly manipulated by Cheney, Rumsfield and the rest of that corporate motor-mouth gang.

"All this deregulation was done under the Clinton administration"
deregulation???? no, it was government regulation through the community revitalization act (cra) that created this mess...the act coerced lenders to make high risk loans
http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/26/video-financial-crisis-in-10-minutes-or-less/
dems are not ONLY to blame, but they do bear the brunt, here...why aren't the dems demanding congressional hearings? don't you think they would if they could trace this back to the repubs?

Obama reportedly caused such an atmosphere vitriol as he
spoke the opening comments at the Whitehouse meeting
yesterday afternoon (Sept 25,2008) that everyone immediately
started yelling and at the meetings end everyone was extremely steamed with no agreements. Well done Senator Obama.
