I know of one party that did the Harding-Merry route in the late 1960's. It took them a day and a half. I asked if they got lost, and was told they were just going slowly. Other than that, no info. I've thought about doing that route, since it seems to have a very high adventure quotient, so I'd love to hear any news. Good luck!

Hey dolomite,
On your last photo of your OP there is a left skyline. I was up canyon looking at this and it looks like there a route to be had there. It looks like it will be difficult to stay right on the ridge. There are some gully's to the right, which may be easier. It seems like someone must have done a route there but when I asked here a few years ago Ed posted roper but thats it.
Anyway go for it and report back. And have a blast.
