I though I saw this discussed somewhere, but cannot find it.

It has been noted before, somewhere and has been like that since August/ September I think. Not funny but it used to show up in a bright red warning color...

It's using http and not https so it's not encrypted or using any certificates...

Which is fine for a public climbing forum. Don't use any PW's or account names here that are the same as something more important. Basic precautions.

Did ST used to have a 'https'? I never really noticed.

Chrome changed it's warning message for http pages back in July. It was a more subtle warning before. It isn't an issue as long as you don't re-use a password that is protecting another account.

Thanks everybody.

mfm i tried that

and

we are on our own

I am having certificate problems with other sites now

One which i have been paying bills on for a very long time.

):

I just discovered that this site is undergoing maintenance, which may be the real problem.

Maintenance is complete and it all worked as usual.

Not sure where it is coming from but getting a lot of spam since I posted my email addy here the other day. May be from another forum.

Used to think those that post their email as in:

johntpenca at gmail dot com

were paranoid. From now on my email addy will be camouflaged.

edit: the gmail spam filter is not catching this stuff.

As long as those two guys from Tel Aviv don't show up at your actual address you're ok.

It's the Nigerians that I'm worried about. What are CMac's affiliations?

edit: In all seriousness, I've posted my normal email addy here many times, as well as on another forum without a problem. Now I'm getting a sh#t load off spam gmail isn't picking up. And no, I haven't been cruising porn sites.

My spam is so bad that I am probably going to create a new email address

Unfortunately the old one is embedded into too many places

Bill paying
Apple ID
Logins to various sites

It is crying out for an application that allows you to track and change with a few keystrokes
